Why is my first bill's Service Charge more than expected?

The service charges are per calendar month. Due to the service charges being billed in advance the first bill will include two lines labelled ‘Service’ per SIM card. This will total over one month’s agreed service charge, because the bill includes the partial first month (pro-rated for the days from activation to month end) and the entire second month. The other items are billed in arrears.
